Welcome to book holiday accommodation with us at Grimsnäs Herrgård in Småland

Grimsnäs Herrgård is located in the southern part of Småland, specifically in Ljuder. The farm is located in the middle of a key biotope with high natural values. We are in the middle of the Kingdom of Glass and the Utvandrarbygd. 100 m away passes the Utvandrarleden, where you can both hike and cycle. Ljuder socken became famous when Vilhelm Moberg wrote his famous epic about the Emigrants. The books are largely based on people who lived in our parish.

We offer for 2024 to rent weekly: The Red House and the White Villa.

These two houses are part of Grimsnäs Herrgård. Our farm has existed since the middle of the 16th century and has been inhabited by several noble families. Now we live here with our two cats

The Red House

You can stay here for about 8 people, depending on how you want to distribute the rooms

The kitchen invites you to socialize around cooking and there is a large dining table with room for everyone.

On the lower level there is a cloakroom, toilet with washing machine, a double bedroom and a social space with kitchen, sofa and large smart TV.

On the upper floor there is a twin room, a double room with a 140 cm wide bed, two rooms with 120 cm wide beds and two toilets with shower

There is outdoor furniture and a barbecue in the garden

The White Villa

Here you can stay 7-8 people, depending on how you want to use the rooms

On the lower floor there is a hall with good wardrobes, a large open living room/kitchen. a double room, toilet and laundry room with shower

On the upper floor there are two double rooms and a room with a 120 cm wide bed

There is both a wooden deck with sun loungers and a cozy pergola with garden furniture and barbecue for pleasant meals outside

Vita Villan has a large garden that invites you to activities – feel free to bring your own outdoor games such as blocks

Fire safety

There is a total ban on smoking indoors!
It is not allowed to light candles or incense in the rooms, but in public areas it is fine to light candles – if you are careful

We have many fire alarms – more than what is required

ATTENTION! Any smoke removal or other damage will be charged to the person who booked the house in question!

Booking rules

Bookings are paid in advance and the booking is only valid when paid

Payment terms
Check carefully that the date and that everything is correct on the confirmation.

Payment of 100% of the total within 10 days of receipt of confirmation/invoice.
Contract prices, discounts or other bonus offers cannot be invoked.
Cancellation can take place up to 1 month before arrival and you can then get 50% of the rent back. In case of later cancellation than 1 month before arrival, the customer is not entitled to a refund
